GCIA Goes To Washington
Friends of New Orleans recently assembled a delegation of various New Orleans non-profit organizations and neighborhood associations to meet with Washington political interests and lobby for the continuing needs of New Orleans. On September 14, 2007, the group met with Chairman Donald Powell. GCIA was well-represented by Scott Darrah, former President and founding member. In light of the reaction from Chairman Powell, Friends of New Orleans feels it is more important than ever to support their initiative to bring a Presidential debate to New Orleans.
