Business & Commerce
The Business Information Session staged by the city at the Baptist Seminary on March 24 had just as many presentors as attendees but the information that came out of it, even material from the outgoing administration, was important to small businesses. I have included on a new Small Business Page downloadable information which includes finanacial resources, a guide to doing business in New Orleans and classes on a variety of business necessities from the Louisiana Small Business Development Center.
The GCIA has partnered with StayLocal! to identify local home-grown businesses. Add your locally owned and operated business here.

We need business leadership that can help develop a marketing plan for Gentilly businesses such as yours.
Our community needs a forum to invite new businesses that will fill empty commercial buildings and lots.
There are opportunities and legislated incentive programs that are going unused. Do you know what they are?
Businesses can, and should, take an active role in improving quality of life issues such as after-school and summer activities for our children.
You can help fill these voids in leadership simply by filling out the form online and adding your voice to the community.
